A Closed Chamber Filter Press For Filtering Concentrated Sulfuric Acid

  The South Korean customer plans to use a filter press to filter concentrated sulfuric acid in the laboratory. Given the strong corrosiveness of concentrated sulfuric acid, the customer adopted a structure with a carbon steel frame wrapped in 316L stainless steel to enhance the equipment's corrosion resistance. To reduce costs, manual jacks are selected as the driving mode for pressing the filter plates.

The technical core of this scheme lies in the material selection of the parts in contact with sulfuric acid:

Feeding section: The pneumatic diaphragm pump made of perfluoro material is adopted. Compared with PP material, perfluoro material has stronger resistance to concentrated sulfuric acid, which can ensure the stability and safety of the feeding process.

Connecting pipes: The connecting pipes between the pump and the filter press are made of 316L stainless steel, which can effectively resist sulfuric acid corrosion and ensure the reliability of material transmission.

Filter plate: The filter plate is made of reinforced polypropylene material, which ensures the filtration performance while having a certain degree of corrosion resistance. The filter plate is of a sealed type. Fluororubber is placed in the grooves around the filter plate to achieve better sealing and prevent dripping or leakage.

  Filter cake receiving and closing plate: Equipped with a 316L stainless steel filter cake receiving and closing plate, it can safely receive the filtered filter cake and avoid corrosion problems.
